I’m Andre Sattler, a photographer with a background in luxury hospitality and a genuine interest in people, details, and the moments that usually happen when no one is trying too hard. Photography first found me through food. Working in hotels and restaurants, I began taking photographs to capture the dishes, ingredients, and details that were part of my everyday world. Before long, the camera started traveling with me. As my career took me around the world, photography became my travel diary. It was how I remembered a place: the food, the architecture, the streets, the light, the people, and the small details that might otherwise disappear with time. Somewhere along the way, photography stopped being simply a way to document what I saw and became the way I learned to see. For more than two decades in luxury hospitality, I learned how much the smallest details
shape an experience. I learned how to read a room, anticipate what people need, stay calm when things get complicated, and make people feel comfortable. Those lessons have followed me into photography. These days, some of my favorite moments happen much closer to home. I’m a husband and a dad to two boys, and family has changed the way I think about photographs. Kids grow, routines change, ordinary days disappear faster than you expect. The images that matter most are often not the perfectly planned ones, but the expressions, relationships, and small pieces of everyday life you want to remember years later. My wife, Talia, is also a huge part of the work behind the scenes. She brings the organization, ideas, and business brain that help turn my creative work into something we can build together. Like most things in our life, photography has become a family affair. My approach is relaxed and intentional. I don’t believe you need to know how to pose, perform for the camera, or arrive knowing exactly what to do. That’s my job. I photograph people, families, celebrations, professionals, food, spaces, and businesses, but the goal is always the same: create images that feel natural, polished, and unmistakably yours. I want the experience itself to feel just as good as the photographs you leave with.
