Hi, I’m Chrysalis White, a Pacific Northwest photographer with a lifelong love for storytelling, connection, and the beautiful, imperfect moments that make a family yours.
My journey behind the camera began in a high school classroom when I took photography as a sophomore. What started as a single elective quickly became something much bigger. I still remember the Christmas my dad gave me my very first Canon digital camera. I was hooked. More than a decade later, I’m still chasing beautiful light, genuine connection, and the little moments that become the memories we hold onto forever.
Rooted in Oregon, Inspired by Connection
I’m proud to call Oregon home, and there is something about photographing people here that never gets old. From the moss-covered forests and towering evergreens to golden fields, mountain views, rivers, and the soft light of an Oregon sunset, the Pacific Northwest gives us an incredible backdrop—but you are always the heart of the photograph.
I love creating images that feel natural, emotional, and true to the people in them. Whether we’re wandering through the woods, playing with your little ones in a field, celebrating a milestone, or simply capturing the season of life you’re in right now, I want your photographs to feel like you.
More Than a Photographer
Behind the camera, I’m a proud mom and grandmother, and my family has taught me just how quickly the seasons of life change. The tiny hands become bigger hands. Children grow. Families evolve. The moments we think we’ll always remember can become harder to hold onto.
That is why I don’t believe photography is simply about taking beautiful pictures.
It is about preserving pieces of your story.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of photographing families throughout the Willamette Valley and across Oregon, capturing everything from the quiet anticipation of maternity and the raw beauty of birth to growing families, milestones, celebrations, and weddings.
Today, I’m also a full-time student pursuing an education in integrated health, nutrition, herbology, and wellness—another path rooted in my passion for helping people live meaningful, connected lives. Photography continues to be one of the places where my creativity, heart, and love for people come together.
